Attention:  There is a Jr. High Boys Basketball Sign-Up sheet in the front office for the 2021-2022 school year.

 Students it is getting warm outside! Please make sure you are dressing according to the Meridian Dress Code listed in the handbook.  We are enforcing the school dress code. Please refer to page 33 and 34 of your Student Handbook. Staff are watching. If you are dressed inappropriately you will be sent home to change.

 The High School Media Team is taking preorders for the 2020-2021 Yearbook. You may pick up a yearbook form any time. If ordered by May 15th, the 2020-2021 Yearbook preorder cost will be $15. The price will be more after that date.  Please give the form and $15 to Dr. Trover in Room 21 or turn the form and money into the High School Office. Checks can be made to Meridian High School Yearbook.

Next Monday at 9:00 am: High School Beta Club, Middle School Beta Club, HS Student Council and National Honor Society will take pictures.

Students do not hang on the bars on the tent outside you will be reprimanded if caught doing so.

Students: Anyone interested in summer school can pick up permission forms in the front office.

Students 16 or older new CTE offerings at Shawnee College next year: See Guidance

 For those senior students who have applied for Scholarships through Shawnee Community College, remember to check your email for notifications of award offers (use the email that you used when you signed up in the scholarship database which may have been your shawneecc email, a personal email, or your High School email).   It is very important to watch your email for these offers!

 We will have our prom king and queen election today during the lunch block.

 PICTURES:

Ms. Cunningham is taking Senior Pictures and Pictures of other high school students that missed their pictures, next week after school from 2-3 o'clock. Retakes are also available. She is also available for a limited number of students third period. Please let her know in advance. 

 Students Prom is Saturday! You must be at school for at least half of the day on Friday to attend Prom on Saturday, also, if you are in ISS or out of school suspended on Friday you will not be allowed to attend Prom. This policy is on Page 63 of the handbook.

 8th Grade Promotion is May 22nd at 10 am

12th Grade Graduation is May 22nd at 12 noon

 Students: Prom will be held May 8th!  Tickets for Prom are available now. Tickets are $5.00

King and Queen Forms can be picked up in the front office (seniors only).

Need a dress, shoes, accessories- go to guidance give your dress and shoe size. Also, check with Ms. Bremer. If you would like to bring a guest from another school, guest forms can be picked up in the front office. Prom tickets are $5.00 per person.

Any male student who is going to be 18 or who has already turned 18 need to come to Guidance and see Mr. Hight.

Seniors watch your scholarship deadlines

Students don’t forget to bring your water bottles from home to use and refill here at school. Also, you can only get water from Ms. Blake’s office between passing class or while on your breathing breaks.

 8th Graders and Seniors Cap and Gown cost is $30.00. Make checks out to Balfour.

Seniors create your FSAID. This is a graduation requirement that must be met. After you have created it please print and turn it in to the Guidance Department.
