Meridian Elementary students, Kiarei Martin and Charles Xavier Green were recognized recently by the Illinois Principal's Association. Kiarei and Xavier were recommended by their principal, Latasha Mandrell, as outstanding students and school citizens. The students and their parents as well as Mrs. Mandrell, were guests of the Illinois Principal's Association at a banquet held to recognize students around the area.
