Attention students: Water bottle containers must be plastic clear containers. No glass
containers are allowed!


If anyone is interested in the Junior Class Club sign-up sheets are in the front office.
During home games no one is to go past the grey fire doors during the games unless you
have permission to do so!


On Wednesday, October 19th there will be a half-day for school improvement.


On Wednesday, October 19th FCCLA will meet second hour to receive their hoodies!
Attention students: The Treat Trolley will make its debut on October 19th . This is a half-
day. Please make sure you have your Bobcat Bucks that day. Ms. Browning will come
around to the classrooms. You will only be allowed to purchase during the time she will be
going from classroom to classroom. Please do not come into the gym during their class
time and ask to purchase anything. If you do not have any bucks or you forget them at
home, there will always be next month.


On Saturday, October 22 nd there will be a Firemen’s Fall Festival Parade in Mounds. If you
are a parade participant you must be in place at 10am to be considered in the judging! The
parade will begin at 10:30am!

On Saturday, October 22 nd the Annual Pulaski Pecan Bonanza will be in Pulaski, IL from
8am to 4pm. The parade will start at 1:30pm.
October 24th- 27th we will celebrate red Ribbon Week, activities will be announced at a
later date.


On Monday, October 24th the University of Illinois Extension will be hosting a Mobile
Market in Mounds, IL from 10-12pm!


The P/T conferences are October 27th - 4-7 p.m., Nov 1st - 4-7 p.m., and Nov 4th - 8-3 p.m.
Picture day is coming October 27th!


On Friday, October 28th there will be no school due to Regional Teacher Institute Day.


On Sunday, October 30th there will be Boo at the Slough! Come hike the Egret Slough Trail at
the Cache River Wetlands Center on a guided trick or treating adventure to meet
misunderstood creatures at the swamp. This will be from 1-3:30pm!


Attention: Seniors –VFW Scholarship opportunity – Deadline October 31st. Please see
guidance if interested.


Seniors the PTSO (Parent Teacher Student Organization) Scholarship is available in the
guidance office. One of the main criteria to apply for this scholarship is that you have to
attend 4 PTSO meetings. The meetings will take place every 2 nd Wednesday of each month
at 6pm. Please see guidance if interested.


Activities:
21st Century Enrichment in both buildings till 5pm.
HS Boys Basketball “Boot Camp” 3-5pm.
MS Boys Basketball- Practice from 3-5 p.m. in elementary.
HS Volleyball – Game at Dongola. Bus leaves at 4:45pm.
MS Girls Basketball- Practice from 5-7pm. In the elementary.
HS Cheerleaders- Practice 3-5pm.
MS Cheerleaders- Practice 3-5pm.
Scholar Bowl- Practice 3-4pm. In the band room.
