Attention students: Water bottle containers must be plastic clear containers. No glass
containers are allowed!
If anyone is interested in the Junior Class Club sign-up sheets are in the front office.
During home games no one is to go past the grey fire doors during the games unless you
have permission to do so!
On Friday, October 21 st Staff Sergeant Stephanie Gonzalez with the Air Force will be here to
present during the high school lunch block.
On Saturday, October 22 nd there will be a Firemen’s Fall Festival Parade in Mounds. If you
are a parade participant you must be in place at 10am to be considered in the judging! The
parade will begin at 10:30am!
On Saturday, October 22 nd the Annual Pulaski Pecan Bonanza will be in Pulaski, IL from
8am to 4pm. The parade will start at 1:30pm.
October 24th- 27th we will celebrate Red Ribbon Week! Monday, Oct. 24 th is pajama day,
Tuesday, Oct. 25 th is jersey day, Wednesday, Oct. 26 th sunglasses and/or hat day, Thursday,
Oct. 27 th wear red day!
On Monday, October 25 th the University of Illinois Extension will be hosting a Mobile
Market in Mounds, IL from 10-12pm!
On Monday, October 25 th the Middle School Girls’ Basketball team will be hosting a Pink Out
game vs Cypress. The game will start at 6pm! Come wear your pink and support our girls!
The P/T conferences are October 27th - 4-7 p.m., Nov 1st - 4-7 p.m., and Nov 4th - 8-3 p.m.
Picture day is coming October 27th!
On Friday, October 28 th there will be no school due to Regional Teacher Institute Day.
PTSO is still taking money orders for shirts! The last day to order will be Friday, October
28 th !
On Sunday, October 30 th there will be Boo at the Slough! Come hike the Egret Slough Trail at
the Cache River Wetlands Center on a guided trick or treating adventure to meet
misunderstood creatures at the swamp. This will be from 1-3:30pm!
Attention: Seniors –VFW Scholarship opportunity – Deadline October 31st. Please see
guidance if interested.
Seniors the PTSO (Parent Teacher Student Organization) Scholarship is available in the
guidance office. One of the main criteria to apply for this scholarship is that you have to
attend 4 PTSO meetings. The meetings will take place every 2 nd Wednesday of each month
at 6pm. Please see guidance if interested.
Activities:
Century 21 st Enrichment in both buildings till 5pm.
MS Boys Basketball- Practice 3-5pm. In elementary gym.
HS Volleyball – Game at Agape. Bus leaves at 4:30pm.
HS Boys Basketball “Boot Camp”- Practice 3-5pm.
MS Girls Basketball – Practice 3-5pm. In elementary gym.
MS Cheerleaders – Practice 3-5pm.
