On behalf of the District staff, we would like to extend to each parent an invitation to discuss your child’s progress with the teacher. Letters have gone out informing parents about their child's placement in the Pre-K Program. Included in the letter are the next steps that parents need to take to make sure that their children can start on their designated start date. Please contact the school if you have not received your letter! Reminder - parents need to call the school to set up their Orientation date and time. This is a mandatory requirement for both new and returning students.
We have been informed by the Illinois State Board of Education that our Pre-K Program can offer our families the option of Remote Learning for the first quarter. If this is something you are interested in or would like to discuss in more detail please call or send a message to Mrs. Kim as soon as possible. The deadline to complete the paperwork for Remote Learning is August 3, 2020.

Meridian CUSD is accepting registration for the 2020-2021 school year on line and in person. Please register your child as soon as possible. If you register online, please notice that you will need to print out permission forms, sign them and turn them in to the appropriate school. We ask that you register your child before Aug 1.

In the month of April, our school district delivered 14,814 meals, in May 13,082. We continue to deliver meals in the Month of June at an average of 350 each day of delivery. We thank our cafeteria staff, bus drivers and food delivery personnel! #Bobcats Rising

Good afternoon, I just wanted to check in and let you know that I have posted assignments to Google classroom. I am also wanting to know how your summaries of various news stories are coming along. Please turn in the work you have done at the bus stop when you pick up your lunches. I have put Flipgrid on Google classroom. You can also get Flipgrid on your cell phone by downloading the app. It is on the Apple store and the Google Play store. You can also download Google classroom to your phone, Xbox, or PlayStation 4 as well. I have posted a video on Flipgrid for you to watch and respond to. I look forward to hearing back from you. Just follow the directions I have put on Google classroom. Gov. Pritzker announced he is closing schools from Tuesday March 17th till Tuesday, March 31st. Students will attend school on Monday March 16th from 8am-11am. This will allow staff to provide materials for the break. More information will be provided on Monday, March 16th!

Today, January 23, 2020 Meridian Unit Schools conducted there State mandated Lock Down Drill with local authorities. Students, staff and authorities did an outstanding job!
Meridian is hosting the 16th Annual MLK Classic tomorrow, Saturday January 18 at Meridian High School. Admission prices are $4 for adults, $3 for students. No passes will be honored. Doors open at 10 AM, however the 11 game has been canceled. Come enjoy some exciting games.

Parents and Students of Meridian School District are invited to participate in a Fall Festival Thursday evening, October 17. You are invited to enjoy a chili supper from 5 until 5:30. There are many activities planned for the evening for parents and students to enjoy. There will be games, prizes, bounce houses, dances, face painting and a book swap. Activities will be in both the High School and Elementary gyms. Armbands allowing participation will be sold for $5.
Parents and Community: The School went on lock down as a precaution this morning. All students and personnel are safe and accounted for.
Today, we had a student who had a major accident and had to be airlifted to Children's Hospital in St. Louis. We applaud our staff members, local law enforcement and EMT's response to the accident. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers as the student undergoes surgery.
