FCCLA Talen Show 7th Hour on 3/28
Attention Senior Ladies! The Prom Boutique is an event in Carbondale to provide girls in Southern Illinois with Free Prom Dresses and help make their prom unforgettable. This event will happen on Sunday, March 31st at the Carbondale Civic Center from 2:30 -5:30 p.m. The cost is Free. Students must bring their High School I.D. for more information you may email to Glamboutique618@glam.com There will also be a scholarship that will be given away to a high school senior.

The Pulaski-Alexander Soil and Water Conservation District puts out an essay contest every year for Century, Egyptian, and Meridian. Each school has a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner plus an overall winner. 1st place gets $50.00, 2nd place gets $25.00, 3rd place gets $15.00. The Horticulture class entered 6 essays and here are our winners:

CONGRATULATIONS to Donnell Flowers for exhibiting outstanding leadership qualities of a young successful entrepreneur at the Illinois Extension Center Entrepreneurship camp held over the summer at SCC for 7th 8th, and 9th graders. Donnell was awarded a certificate of Excellence in Young Entrepreneurship. When you see Donnell today show him some Bobcat Pride! We are proud of you!

Meridian Board of Education Election Notice
Meridian School Board will have 3 vacant seats that will need to be filled in the April 2, 2019 election. The attached notice gives instructions on how to be a Write-In Candidate (our district did not have any candidates to turn in petitions for the election).
