Last week Meridian School celebrated Red Ribbon Week. The theme for the 2022 National Red Ribbon Week Campaign was CELEBRATE LIFE. LIVE DRUG FREE. Chief Brown and Mayor Allison Madison came to kick off the event by tying red ribbons around trees in front of the building. Several local businesses showed support by displaying Red Ribbons as well. All students were given a variety of Red Ribbon items throughout the week and had opportunities to win daily prizes. Families were given pledge forms to sign with their children to open up communication regarding living healthy and drug free.

Reminder to parents; there will be no Enrichment activities tomorrow, November 1 . We will have Parent/Teacher conferences from 4 until 7 PM.
Meridian Elementary students will parade through the junior/senior high school tomorrow at 9:30 am. Elementary students are welcomed to dress in costumes. Please be sure students can see and move easily in costumes. Accessories such as toy weapons are discouraged.
TCYRP is sponsoring the 2nd annual Dinner and Dancing with Disney and Friends on November 5th beginning at 5:30PM at the Cairo High School.

Parent/Teacher Conferences are coming! Thursday October 27 is our first conference date. You may make an appointment to see your child's teacher(s) between the hours of 4 and 7 PM. Also, the Elementary is holding a Family Fall Festival that same evening, also from 4 to 7 PM. There will be games, face painting and prizes. If you have not yet received information from your child's teacher, please contact them via email, SeeSaw or Google Classroom.

Meridian Elementary is requesting that parents using the West Drive to drop off or pick up their students, please be considerate of other parents. If you wish to walk to the door with your student, please park in the parking lot. Do not block the drive way. At pick up, please do not pass other cars in line.
