Mrs. Hawkins 2nd Grade Class had an AR party today! Students earned points by reading books and taking comprehension tests. The class had 4 students that made it to 50 points which earned them $5.00. All students received a Pizza Hut Coupon and a reading pencil. The class also had cupcakes, chips, juice and a DANCE PARTY!

Our Meridian and Cairo CNA Students are hosting their 2nd Annual Blood Drive on May 1st from 8:00am to 1:00pm. Help us reach our goal of 30 units of blood collected to provide a scholarship to one of our students.

Meridian will be open on Monday, April 7th, 2025. We are aware some areas are flooded, and our buses will get to all areas possible. The buses might be delayed due to having to take a different route, so please be patient. Also, some students may not be able to make it to school. Looking to learn more of basic computer skills or just to refresh your skills on the computer? On April 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Shawnee Community College Cairo extension center will be a free Basic Skills Training. For more information please see flyer.
Penny Wars will be starting tomorrow, March 31st and run until Friday, April 4th at Meridian Elementary. The class that collects the most pennies will be treated to a dance party. All funds collected will go towards our end of the year PBIS party. Please see attached flyer with Penny War details. Money buckets will be located in the Elementary Office.
