Reminder: Seniors are required to turn in their Chromebook and chargers after finals Thursday, May 8th or May 9th if the student has makeup finals. If the student does not have their charger they are required to pay a $20 replacement fee (Cash or Check). I (Mr. Hudson) will have a table set up in front of the high school office to collect devices. Athletic banquet will be Wednesday May 14th at 6:30 p.m. in the Meridian High School cafeteria. Reservation papers have been giving to all the participating athletes to be returned by EOD this Friday. If you need a reservation paper you can contact the principal's office.

Meridian CUSD #101 Names Dr. Lisa C. Thomas as Incoming Superintendent
Meridian Community Unit School District #101 is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Lisa C. Thomas as the district’s next Superintendent, effective July 1, 2025.
Dr. Thomas brings more than 31 years of experience in education, including 14 years in administrative leadership. For the past five years, she has served as a highly respected fifth-grade teacher at Meridian Elementary, where she has earned a reputation for her deep care for students, her belief in their boundless potential, and her commitment to creating an environment where every learner can thrive.
Known for her collaborative leadership style, Dr. Thomas values open communication, shared vision, and a strong team culture. She is passionate about building partnerships between schools, families, and the broader community to ensure all students have the support and opportunities they need to succeed.
The district invites the entire Meridian community to join in welcoming Dr. Thomas to her new role and in supporting her as she leads the next chapter in the district’s story. With shared commitment and pride, the Bobcats will continue to rise.

Our Meridian and Cairo CNA Students are hosting their 2nd Annual Blood Drive on May 1st from 8:00am to 1:00pm.
